So sorry for the long delay in getting pictures up of Preston!
As most of you know we went to Miami back in February to be with my Grandma for a few weeks. We found out in January that she had cancer and there wasn't anything that they could do for her- and she was about to be 92 so she made the decision to not undergo any treatment.
Preston and I had the best time being with Grandma. It was so important for me to go and be with my family during that time.
Grandma passed away the morning Preston and I left to come back home. But she had a wonderful life and we will all miss her like crazy!
Preston did great on all the plane trips. I was a little nervous since I was by myself. But he was a trooper! Of course I did get some looks when we were boarding but those passengers had no reason to do that - Preston never made a peep!
We went to Iowa for the funeral. Justin was able to come with us. We arrived just in time- the next day it snowed like crazy and was very cold. Grandma never minded the cold weather!
What has Preston been up to:
He rolled from front to back on February 4th, while we were in Miami, so my parents and Uncle Randy and Aunt Melissa go to see him do this for the first time.
He started eating veggies on March 5th. I am making his baby food. So far he has had zucchini, peas, green beans and sweet potatoes. He wasn't a fan of the zucchini at all but loved all the other veggies. We try a new one every Saturday so that Justin can be here to see it and be able to take pictures.
He is rolling all over the place and is working on sitting up by himself! He'll be crawling and walking before we know it, which I am not ready for!
I can't believe that he will be 8 months old next week...it seems like I was just pregnant yesterday! I am loving every stage that he has gone through and am so thankful that I am able to stay home with him to watch him grow and change.
He is sleeping great (12-14 hours STRAIGHT a night!!!) and taking 1-2 naps a day.
He loves to snuggle with us and play with all of his toys.

1st Plane Trip!!
Preston and I are headed to Miami tomorrow for 2 WEEKS! I am so excited to go see my family and spend time with everyone. We are flying so this will be Preston's first plane trip. Justin is not able to go with us so I am braving this thing solo!

Preston tries rice cereal for the 1st time!
Preston wasn't so sure about this rice cereal stuff!
We decided that we didn't try it at the right time. He was tired and ready for his nap!

Preston's Baptism
Preston got baptized on January 6th at St. Peter Catholic Church. Father John, who married Justin and I baptized him. It was a beautiful ceremony followed by a BBQ dinner at our house. Preston had all of his grandparents there, his uncle Randy and aunt Melissa, the Memphis Witt's and many friends.
Randy, my brother, is Preston's godfather and Jennifer, my sister-in-law on Justin's side, is Preston's godmother.
Preston wore the same baptismal gown that I did and it was my grandfather's. The hat he is on was what Justin wore when he came home from the hospital.

New Year!
Well one of my resolutions was to be better about updating this blog! We have so many family and friends that live all over that is why I started this!
I also plan to do posts as things happen... I am not a fan of the way the pictures post on here and am still trying to figure a lot of this out.

December 2010
December was a busy but fun month with Preston!
He changes so much every day and it has been great to be able to stay at home with him to see all these changes! I keep Justin in the loop about what he does all day by sending pictures from my phone to his phone. Preston is excited when Justin gets home from work and I get to have a little break so they can play together!
Preston rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time on December 23rd! He had been trying to for a few weeks but could never figure out what to do with his arm and finally he got it! I had put him on the floor in his room to go get a book out of the play room and when I got back he was almost over and then bam he did it! I think it scared him a little bit. He hasn't figured out how to roll back the other way yet. But I know that will come soon enough.
We had a great 1st Christmas with Preston! It was my first time without my parents so that was a little hard.
I don't have very many pictures from Christmas since Justin and I bought a new camera for each other and then we ended up taking it back since we didn't like it. It was very slow and very hard to get any good pictures of Preston. My sister in law has some on her camera so I will post some more once I get the cd of those from her.
Justin's brother, Kevin, and his family (Jennifer, Hayden and Connor) came in for Christmas. It was fun to be with them and to watch Hayden and Connor interact with Preston. Jennifer and I always have so much fun together and one of these days we will get to have a mama's night out :)
